Prejudice of any kind – no matter how subtle – should have no room in our society.

By titia.maas@web.de

More self-esteem equals less prejudice

If you have not yet seen it take a look at “Love has no labels”

This wonderful video already has 52 million hits so clearly it touches a nerve.

Very happy to see how many people love these initiatives.

Yet the comments show how diverse we really are.

From emotional to cynical, hopeful, touched, annoyed, bored, disgusted, happy, disappointed, confused, enlightened to being proud. Leaves me fascinated again with humans and their emotions. Love is a controversial topic.

It brings me back to my core belief that we all need to embrace each other more. Especially those who need it most.

The cynical, bored and even the disgusted people, who might just need to hear that negative feelings won’t make anybody happy. We should find what we do like rather than what we don’t like. And then spread our own personal positive vibes rather than tear apart other’s people value systems and dreams.

I sure felt the positive vibes of the Love Has No Labels campaign!

For some people, it will be a wakeup call, for others a moment of feeling accepted and embraced by the tolerance displayed.

Thank you for saying out loud what you believe in!
