This tiny house story isn’t about people moving smaller . . .

Tiny house New York Kindness

The first time I learned about the tiny house movement was through a video on a blog post from Danielle Chabasso: How can we change the world

Yesterday at the airport, I bought a magazine and read a story of a couple that had a lot of debt and ended up moving smaller and smaller to end up in a tiny house as well.

It made me think of our caravan in the Netherlands. Every time we come home, after we have been there, my son tells me: “Mom are house is too big. I like the caravan much better. It is so nice and cosy. ”

How much space does one really need? It’s a good question but not one I am worried about to be honest. I love our house, and the extra space does have many advantages as well.

But what I read today moved me. This tiny house story wasn’t about people moving smaller. It’s about not having a home in the first place.

And about a man who decided to build a homeless woman a tiny house.

Of course I had to love the hug she gave him :-) He sure gave her more than just a tiny house . . .
